In a previous life...

... I was (actually still am at time of writing) a Video Editor at the University of Leeds. It was a pretty cool job as we got to work on all sorts of projects from filming lectures, encoding stuff for the web to learning and teaching, training and promo videos. Every day was different. Sadly the university has decided to close it's multimedia department. But, a pheonix rises from the ashes in the form of Leeds Media Services. Two weeks today we officially start trading. Very exciting!!!

One of the most interesting projects we worked on was the 'Maths Matters in Computing' series of videos. We finished the last 2 videos off on Monday and now they're all online. The series is designed to convey the importance of an understanding of the mathematics that underpin computer science. Take a look at the first video in the series - Games.
